quick question-> boost loss, could it be a leak?

hey all just a quick question, last night i was giving my r32 gts-t a bit of a boot on the way hame and i noticed that the boost is at 12-13 ish PSI all the way to about 5G roughly but then past that it goes back down to 10PSI ??? is this just the stock turbo running out of puff....or do you reccon iv got a leak some where?

iv only just noticed it now coz the engine has been missing for the last 4 months and i was slowly tryin to figure out what was wrong (was the plug gap!) there for havent realy given it a thrash b 4 now.

any thoughts

Over 5G the presure in the turbo zaust housing gets too great which forces the waste gate open and that is why you are losing boost. HKS sell waste gate replacments that are rated at 12 psi instead of 7psi and they should hold fine, they cost about $180 in total.

This is the case for r33's but i am not sure about r32's...
