Incorrect R32 Gtst Rear Brake Rotors Installed?

Hey all,

I have a r32 gtst 1990 model.

I bought myself some rda908's for the rears. Now they are much larger in both width and diameter than my old ones and I doubt these are the correct discs for my car...

I'm no expert but the back of the wheel isn't sitting flush with the brake rotor hub and the brake pad wear on the discs isn't even throughout as shown in the photo.

Will be ordering some dba's instead if this is the case... Have only driven my car for 5 mins to bed them in.

Just found my old rotors and compared, they didn't sit flush either so I'm feeling a little bit more relieved about that... However why is the actual disk part so much more wider on these new ones?

Are you talking about diameter or thickness? Width doesnt mean anything on brake rotors.

Wear isnt consistant across the diameter of the rotor.

The new disc should be thicker than the old - that is why you buy a new disc. Bit like asking why your new tyres have more tread than your old ones.

The diameters of the rotors should be the same.

Wasn't referring to the thickness but the actual diameter yes. All good thanks guys I guess I was being paranoid but all good.
