When swapping the actuator off my R33 yesterday, I popped off the c clip that hold the actuator arm in place and I bloody lost it!! I know I'm a d!ck..... Is this an issue/do I need it? When I put the other actuator on and bolted it in place, it didn't seem like the actuator arm could come off by itself anyway. Any advice/info?

Cheers,

Don't stress too much mate - worst case scenario for the meantime until you replace it is that the actuator arm comes off the wastegate arm (since no clip to hold it there) and your wastegate just freely opens causing you to pretty well not make any boost. Absolutely no chance of doing any damage to anything in this case.

The wastegate arm is on a 45 o angle on the LHS which is as far as it goes. I've tried pulling up the actuator arm but it's not budging more than 2 or 3mm anyway so I don't think the whole arm would come off just by itself in day to day traffic.

Will put on the replacement clips when they arrive but thanks to all for the info. :)
