Yeah i think i'm going to get it looked at, it's scary to be driving and having the power cut out on a freeway.

Can anyone recommend a good auto electrician in Sydney that knows the V35's?

Edit: Just got off the phone with Indy and the reason he think's it might be the ECU was because he had the exact same issue in his 350z. When he took it back to Nissan they replaced the ECU under warranty and that seemed to have fixed the problem.

The symptoms seem very similiar to mine. A single engine knock, lights on the dash go out and radio turns off then restarts and the engines resumes all within a second.

I'm guessing this should confirm its electrical related and should have nothing to do with the ECU as Scott mentioned. So right now it's either dodgy battery cable or moisture in the IPDM.
