aftermark suspension for 180sx?

Hay guys iam getting my 180sx soon from japan and iam really serious about what kind of suspension i want in it? i know a lil about suspension but would do you guys reconmend i really want the car to come with good suspension exhuast and lsd if possible hehe

by the way its s 94 type x 180sx

so what do you reconmend i get?

i just good suspension no body roll and good for drifiting but good for driving on rd i dont mind if its abit bumby heheh

i was going to get coil-overs for mine but i dont drive the car on the track enough and coil-overs make road driving REALLY uncomfortable.

I am just going to get some harder shocks and i have bought some 40mm lowered srpings.... then i will just get some front and rear strut braces and see what thats like. Thats the same setup that my '33 had and that was quite good.

Depends what coil overs you get and what spring rates they come with. Racing Gear make good ones I'm told and they aren't overly hard on the road. My mate has Cusco's not sure which ones and they are soft as shit. I got Tien HA's and they are probably a bit hard for some but you can always adjust them and they aren't too bad. 6kg spring rate up front and 4kg rear would be ideal me thinks.

I have HKS Hiper d's in my car which I bought off a guy who thought they were too hard. I put them in and I didn't think they were much worse than the lowered springs I had in it before that. I think hje must have gone from a completely stock car, to coil overs. I think if you are used to driving lowered cars you won't find them too bad.

In my 180sx when i had it (RIP) it had TEIN in it, the full adjustable coil overs. They were perfect for drift and normal street drivin. And when you wanted to lower it you could fairly easily. You can pick coil overs up for good money i would do it over just powered springs etc. :uh-huh:

In my old 180, I had adjustable Koni shocks and King springs. Was told these were fine for the car, but i found on hard turn I would hit the bump-stops a lot of the time. Would understand if it was under some serious turning, but it happened on most spirted driving sesions (read "all driving"). Didn't keep the car long enough to fix it though.
