Driving A C210

Okay guys, i am still yet to receive my c210 and havent even put my arse in the seat yet. I was wondering what they are like to drive, i've owned many older cars, mainly toranas and gemini's and i'm expecting it to handle like a 6 cyl torana with a similar power to weight. It has a L28 engine with manual box, whats everyones experiences with driving one of these with fuel economy and parts to be wary of, i've done a search but it mainly brings up alot of jibberish lol

Is it standard other than the L28?

Enormous differences are to be found between standard and modified C210's.

id say it would handle allot better than the torana and gemini combined

Agreed. You are likely to eat a standard Torona 6 in terms of handling, power, braking and fuel economy.

Correct, the technology in these cars was well ahead of the equivalent holden and ford of the era.

i thought as much, massive suspension differences, similar weights though and similar physical size.

when mine was standard it was nice, just springs very soft.
