Hey Guys,

It's getting close to that time again where i need to get my beloved 250GT Four Door serviced.

Anyone know any good mechanics in the western Sydney region which do a decent service, also looking to start modding the car, any place that particularly good with jap imports?

i will venture into eastern suburbs as well if need be.

Thanks,

Vince

I didn't think the AWD 250gt was on the SEVS list.. how did you get one complied? personal import? (lived in Japan for a while)

Sorry.. don't know any good mechanics in Sydney..

If you find one, let me know.

I get my car worked on (so far only Z-tube and Plenum chamber) at Bondi Junction, the guy that owns the shop, owns a GTR.

Sorry.. I misread your original post.. it though you said 250GT Four. which was the AWD version.. totally missed the 'Door' part.. unless your later edit changed this part??

lol yes guilty i forgot to put door on the first post lol saw what you said and thought oh F**k and changed it lol, yes it is indeed a rear wheel four door sedan,

really hoping someone knows a good place that i can trust, was loooking at getting a shift kit installed and a couple of the so called "trans speacialists" said they do not make transgo for my car, which i believe is complete BS anyway, again if anyone knows hit me up would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Try IS Motor Racing over at Rockdale in Sydney. I take my v35 there to get serviced, they are pretty good and don't charge an arm or a leg.

Thanks Mike really appreciate it, know if they are good with installing mods and whatnot?

cheers, any other places would be great so i can have a look around see who is the best!

That's pretty much what they do haha. Give them a call and speak to Indy.

if you can swing a spanner you can do a basic oil change and some entry level mods

Save some cash and learn about the car. If you are not super confident in being able to check problems ect just get every 2nd service done somewhere and get them to give it a full once over for your more infrequent consumables like belts ect

^this is true

You will feel more confident and fulfilled after you've done it yourself as well

I agree with the last two comments however i dont have the time to learn and everytime i try and "fix" Things i end up in more trouble than i was in the beginning lol, my little brother is a mechanic and he can service it for me, however i need a log book service to keep my warrenty.
