Quality And Fitment Of Carmate Bodykits?

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone has bought any carmate bodykit pieces before to gauge what kind of quality they manufacture them to?

Basically I'm looking at these two front bars:

VSP Style

Also, what is the VSP style bar a replica of?

I know the NS style is Nismo S-Tune, but not sure about the other one.

as you say, NS is an S-tune rep.

The VSP from that angle looks vaguely similar to the z-tune bar, except it's got two holes for the indicator/air vent like the s-tune.

the VSP iisn't just the NS/S-tune style bar with the bottom lip moulded into it? just a thought

It must just be a custom bar inspired by the NS style.

From what I can see the intercooler vent (main hole) is bigger, and the top two side vents are also slightly bigger.

That kit you posted last looks nice but mind sure you have a big intercooler and some big wheels to fill the guards it will look ugly.

Unfortunately it's far more than I want to spend as well. Just going for a z-tune front with top secret diffuser now. Yes I have big wheels to fill the guards

Like most bodykits it will need work, carmates are cheaper as they are very very thin on layers of fibreglass to the point you can see straight through it. The fitment was way off when we tried putting it on the car, sagged under headlights, had to be moulded and reshaped to attach to fenders...overall I wouldn't go back there. Try Jetspeed they may have a similar design alot thicker and better quality fitment

A mate bought a kit for his R32 (its a blue one on their website) and we fitted it up ourselves. Fitment was ok but the glass was thin.
