Tail Troubles

Hey ladies and gents. Im over the standard tailights a bit. I was wondering where can you get custom tailights without actually using a film or spray. Someone hook me up please.

i beleive there is a company in the US that does custom headlights and tailights called CinCity Designs. I have heard they're insanely expensive but i have never spoken with someone that's got their lights customised before.

Nice andrew haha. And cheers sean any info is good info. Do you guys reckon if i bought heaps dark tint and cut holes out so it wont affect the lights would it be worth doing?

You can buy tinted overlays with the holes already cut out.

Think the guy is called 'Batman' in g35driver.

My 2c is that they're better left alone. I think they're damn sxy as is!

yeah as Mat said or those GTR cut out tint film crap. I bought a set cost me $100 i got them and looked at them and basically threw them out because they looked gay as aids mainly because nothing lined up and all the little holes cut out for the LED's were still visable weren't even close to being in the right spot lol. Leave them as they are mate, they look awesome.

Yeah i do like them as is just wondered about getting th so they were legally dark but might not.

your best bet would be applying a bit of tint then mate, i personally wouldn't do it just because of how dull it makes your brake lights but go for it if you want to man.

Can get ones off yahoo that make the brake a hotplate like all other skylines but pretty expensive

I put tint on my tails originally for a car show with intention of taking it straight off, but never got around to it - have had it on for nearly 3 years now and had cops behind me, gone through breatho stations, and have NEVER been pulled over nor had a comment about them. And they are dark as!

All good until some one rear ends you and blames your tinted lights.... Wouldn't like to deal with insurance them!

All valid points. Also anyone know if the 2nd gen tail lights on the 06 07 models fit and can you get ones without a boot release button

they fit but all have the button from what I have seen as they are OEM...designed like that

Sorry for the thread jack, and I should clarify the yellow fronts:

A set of OEM headlights for sale with yellow tint & no fogging, no ballast (replaced mine with the ones from the group buy) The yellow tint overlays are currently up-applied with backing, cut to size.

$330 ono for the lights including the tints.

TBH I'd like a set of non amber USDM ones, but arent worth the effort and cash...

If onlky I could get a straight swap from someone in the us... they seem to lover the amber blinkers for some reason, maybe because JDM
