For whenever I want show plates whilst the car is off a public road > display...

I decided after some help from Mitch - SAU Member - User Name "Mitch_Rona" > DIY

1) Mitch can make up a pair of customised 29cm x 8cm stickers for you for $15

2) A pair of black plastic perspex plates can be cut for you - yes with the rounded corners, whilst taking your stickers there to...

3) After carefully sticking Mitch's stencil stickers to the plates (& I botched up one), and next removing the the top sheet...

I used Etch Pro spray over the stencil. But you can get a cheapo primer of course.

And if you already have primer and white paint at home, the all up cost is $26 (including cut perspex and sticker stencils by Mitch)

Thanks terry, they came up good.

Alternatively I can just cut you a negative to what I cut for Terry, and you can stick the letters on directly, no need for paint.

Or I can give you the bare cut vinyl, and you either peel out the letters and stick the outer on, or peel off the outer and stick the letters on. You choose.

May I say this as an addendum that when drilling through perspex, it's advisable to use a low speed. This is because when hot, it can become a gelatinous mass rather than escape to the sides.

I agree Eric > great for SAU.NSW (or VIC - or QLD - or SA etc) to display at our tent at LowDown, MegaMeet, CardiGras hehe...

...with a car displaying...
