R33 Gearbox Swap Advice

hi Guys i have a R33 non turbo 5th has gone and reverse is playing up now so i am looking to replace the box i know they have different boxes compared to the turbo version question is can i fit a turbo box to non turbo motor i am guessing it will bolt up but what about clutch, drive shafts,speedo etc

any advice would be greatly appreciated

Don't put the turbo box in. For one thing, they cost twice as much as the non-turbo, and you don't need the extra strength. Nor do you need the extra weight in an NA.

For another thing, you will need to do a tailshaft conversion, probably gearbox crossmember too. Not worth the pain.

thanks that what i thought but cannot seem to locate a non turbo gearbox i did read that the r32 turbo gearbox is the same ????

R32 turbo box is the same as the R33 NA. Ratios are slightly different, but otherwise the same. In fact, I put an NA R33 box into my R32 because they were easier to get (many years ago).
