I've never really understood the hoopla surrounding brake dust; I'd rather have brakes that stop like a heart attack, than sook about some dust on my rims. ;)

Besides, if your wheels are coated properly, and if you use the right kind of wheel cleaner; it's a simple job to clean them anyway...

I saw a quote a while back "Brake dust is my bling"

I like it.

Not sure that I'd ever call Redstuff pads "race suited" - they are sold as a street pad for "more powerful cars - over 200 bhp" that can be used occasionally on the track. If we were talking about Yellowstuff pads I agree that they are too harsh & too noisy for street use, but I have found the redstuff pads to be brilliant on the street.

I ordered QFM HPX pads, front and rear, couple of weeks back from GSL Motorsport after a bit of research on the subject. I was tossing up between these and the EBC redstuff... but the HPX were less than half the price and had received good reviews all round.

EBC redstuff had mixed reviews... but I understand they changed the compound a few years back so they don't eat rotors like coco pops any more.
