Help- Factory Boost Gauge N/w As Usual

Hey guys, know its a common problem, might did it since i bought it, thought its about time i fixed it.

It did the usual random fluctuating, either worked, or it was at the top of bottom of the gauge.. now its just stopped

Ive been told that the circuit board for the boost gauge needs a dab more solder on certain points as the contacts aren't that good from factory, ive attached a pic, is anyone able to tell me what needs to be touched up at all?

any help would be much appreciated!

The 3 pins on the left it will be on the same side as to where the plug goes in.

Fantastic, so just a couple of dabs should do it i presume?

The 3 pins on the right should be the plug pins. I usually use solder wick to get the old solder off, then re-solder, but just re-soldering works.

is there an easy way to open the f*ker? seems bloody hard. about to cut it open!

You can see the clip slots, use a small flat screwdriver.

I have a spare one here when you fluck it.

Is this the same for the c34? Mine works, to some degree....it turns on but the needle just goes from the bottom of the gauge, and sits at the middle with ignition on...doesn't show any positive or negative boost reading

Series 2? It is the same sensor as the r34 so I guess it's the same on yours. Here is the original thread with repair pics.
