Hey guys, yesterday my car broke down outside of goulbourn worst in the middle of nowhere.

I believe the fuel pump may have died as its not priming upon the turn of the key. Im not to sure if i have lost spark for the fuel pump but im quite sure its fuel related. Car was driving fine up the hill and on the way down i thought i lost 5th gear but no power through the rest of the gears and car came to a rest and died. Anything else they should be looking at?

Now a tow charge to sydney was $780 and i took the offer for $80 and dropped into a shop in goulbourn. Now issue is these guys dont do modified cars and cant figure it out.

Is anyone out at goulbourn or knows any mechanic out there that knows modified cars? Car is a r31 with rb26

Check the links at the battery. They could come loose and you lose power to ECU/etc. (kills the engine, no fuel pump prime). This happened to me on the way down from Robertson, was an interesting experience.

Apart from that, you'll have to do the usual "check wiring".

i had to get the car towed back to my mechanics who figured it out within the hour. The immobiliser was wired to the fuel pump and had turned the car off randomly. They bypassed the immobiliser from the fuel pump and presto she fired back to life. All up it put quite a dent in my pocket. Now to go purchase a new alarm and immobilisers.
