Hey guys, copied this from evoOz forums.

Keep on the lookout if you guys can.

Seems like too many evo's have been taken in the last couple of months.

Inb4 waiting for a moiteeee

So woke up this morning, no work so just stayed indoors relaxing. Decide to go to the gym at 2pm and that's when I realised my car wasn't where I had left it last night. Car was taken between the hours of 12am and 5am.

Have filed a report with the police and they are now on the lookout.

Seems to me like a professional job as there wasn't any glass left behind where the car was parked. Car is listed as for sale also, but to date, have only given my address to one guy and he never came to view to car (this was a month ago) so don't know if that may be a possible lead or not.

Anyway, hopefully it turns up but I'll post some details below and hopefully someone may have seen it.

- White 2001 Evo VII
- Rego: BCM 81X
- Located within the Liverpool area
- Evo 8 front
- Evo 9 rear
- Rays Ralliart Evolution R01 wheels in gunmetal
- Stock height

Im reading more and more about cars getting knocked off....

Someone on JDMST had their S15 stolen from DULWICH HILL....and mentioned this

"hi guys so i spread the word around today and a friend of a friend spotted it driving on canterbury rd near supercheap auto leaving lakemba possibly toward bankstown, my mate said he was admiring the car at a red light, he confirmed the wheels, bodykit and the first two word on the number plate".

Also....I had a mate of mine recently had his Evo V stolen from the St.George area...

So if that lead was on JDMST correct and the s15 was indeed heading to Bankstown...then given your theft occured in Liverpool it is interesting to note that these 3 locations are all

  • 17-20 minutes from Bankstown.

So with the fact they all seem to be professional thefts I suspect there is a chop shop operating somewhere (perhaps Bankstown) ..

I hate to bust bubbles, but.....

Unfortunately, most low lives now steal cars to export o/s. Why do you think no parts turn up for sale in the usual places,or empty/burnt out shells of stolen HiPo Jap cars are never found?

Whether they dismantle afew, say, 10 makes of cars into 5 different containers & mix everything up, Oz export don't usually worry too much about the origins of the parts (they aren't going to extensively research every carparts history for export, just like they don't do for import). They aren't too concerned about whether stolen parts are involved or not.

The Middle East is a haven for Jap stuff at a higher profit than here...........

Forgot to mention this isn't my evo, mines still safe in the garage.

It was just copied from a thread on evo oz, as it isn't a public forum, I though it would be a good idea posting it here to get the word around quickly.

Not sure if the dude mentioned if he parked on the driveway or street, but as it was taken overnight I'd assume it was park in the drive way.

Judging from the first photo the fence doesn't look like it'll hold off any thieves let alone a professional one.

EDIT: Updated on the evoOz forums

Car was found burnt this morning at 3.30am at the boat ramps at Henry Lawson Drive, Revesby. Apparently that's where majority of cars are burnt so in future if anyone's car gets stolen, probably camp out there and watch for suss activity. Hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else though.

All my work gear and some paperwork were dumped in a courtyard though, along with a smashed phone. Phone definitely isn't mine so hopefully it will lead to someone. Gear was dumped in Yagoona, not far away from where the car was found so to those living out that way, I'd take extra steps to protect your car.

Will update when I find out more so everyone is aware about stolen vehicle activities.

Yep, cars being stolen for this reason has happened in the past... and now it seems like its happening all over again...
