Rob_C110GTR
What's the green part on the back of the plenum? Does that connect to the brake booster? What size hose do I need? 89CAL
That's a knock sensor. Not sure what it would be doing on the back of the intake manifold Do you have a photo zoomed out a bit more so we can see where exactly it is? Rob_C110GTR
It looks like the previous owner just used a knock sensor to block that hole As they connected the hose from the brake booster to the port where the PCV valve used to connect. And left the PCV port on the head cover open. Need to source a PCV valve grommet and the "s" hose Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421332-part-id-back-of-the-rb25-plenum/#findComment-6777701 Share on other sites
Rob_C110GTR
Anyone know what size is the stock nipple and thread? Thanks Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421332-part-id-back-of-the-rb25-plenum/#findComment-6778156 Share on other sites
89CAL
Unscrew the knock sensor and make sure it doesn't seem dodgy screwing in and out and if.not you can probably just take it to pirtek etc and say you want a fitting with that thread and a nipple on the other end? What hose do you want to put on there? PCV? Can't quite remember the hose size but might be 5/16? The thread should be BSP Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421332-part-id-back-of-the-rb25-plenum/#findComment-6778192 Share on other sites
Rob_C110GTR
I just want to correct the vacuum hoses Right now the previous owner had the front port connected to the brake booster where it should be connected to the PCV valve. So I need to connect the rear port (dummy knock sensor) and connect that to the brake booster. Then get a PCV valve working normal again Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/421332-part-id-back-of-the-rb25-plenum/#findComment-6778202 Share on other sites
