So after a bit of delay between Nissan and RHD, my gearbox was finally sent last Wednesday. It arrived at my house yesterday!! :D

Small bit of annoyance, on the trip from Japan to Australia somebody decided that the big fragile stickers with arrows pointing up clearly didn't mean anything so the gearbox was sat upright. Luckily they put it on the tailshaft input side so no damage has occured to the input shaft on the bellhousing end. Unluckily, the gearbox was full of oil, which obviously went everywhere!

Anyways, here it is. All shiny looking and stuff. Will be fitting it this weekend. Can't wait to get driving again! I've been very unmotivated and wanting to sell the GTT to fund buying a dedicated track car, perhaps driving it again will change my mind lol.

Well the gearbox was fitted up yesterday and everything appears to be good :D

I have done about 300kms or so driving so far and plan to do a a bit more than that next week to get it run in.

I also ordered another pair of the P45R2's that I've been running on the front for the rear so I have a complete set for daily driving and will most likely use them for non drifting events still lol.

Small mod update to come, when I actually get to doing it :P

No skids for Tim- can't afford to break 3rd again. Lel

We are going to get very skilled at the RB gearbag removal & refit task.

Skids will come, but I seriously can't afford to break the gearbox again :P

Also, yes, yes we will. RB life lol.

Pussy

Shuddup karnt.

You should know not to make fun of me because karma gets you back :P

No major updates, I've been very lazy, but changed gearbox oil on the weekend after ~1100kms of run in. Minimal shavings, less than I expected to come out of a brand new box, so I guess that is good lol.

I have purchased a 19 row oil cooler which I will hopefully be fitting this weekend, which means I will also get the Defi oil gauge sensors hooked up finally lol.

I also cancelled my order for the new/matching pair of wheels as their was a nearly 2 months (possibly more) back order, so I figured I'd put the money to better use. I am trying to find a good set of track wheels that I can fit some decent sized semi slicks on to now as I have entered the Mountain Straight hill climbs again at Bathurst which are on the 31st August. Keen to beat my times from earlier in the year, which if I get some decent tyres that shouldn't be hard, considering I was running crappy Rotalla's that were nice and hard. I also have some Cusco front adjustable camber arms to fit up which will help me get a bit nicer alignment ;)

Ok so I've been a bit slack with updating this.

Attempted to fit oil cooler but one of the lines had a leak so I had to rip it all back off in preperation for hill climbs at Bathurst that were on today.

Purchased some R34 GTR rims cheap second hand which had used Toyo R888's on them in 265/35/18.

Ran those tyres at Bathurst today and made a new personal best time of 53.04 seconds (down from 56.71 seconds at the last one which I was running crappy tyres at).

Can't wait to attend the next one with NEW semi's and see how much more time I can crack, there is still plenty of time to be made, but I was pretty happy with 2nd in my class and 9th overall for the day :)

Pics/vids of stuff to come.

Here is the in car footage of my fastest lap yesterday at the hill climbs. New PB of 53.04s and definitely some room for improvement still. Car handled great but I'm going to have to get over my love of having the car low and raise it up a bit so it's not scrubbing so much up the front. I'm keen to get back there at the end of November with some fresh rubber and see how it goes.

I also forgot to mention in my last post that I have purchased some Xspurt 1000cc injectors and a Walbro fuel pump from scotty nm35 from here. I have been chatting with Dvs Jez and will be booking in for a tune with him as soon as I purchase a Z32 AFM. This should give me a nice little power increase hopefully in time before the next hill climbs ;)

Pushing her hard up that mountain! haha nice man

Nope no spacers. Mind you, my car is a bit lower than yours. I had to run about -1.3 degrees camber on the rear just to prevent the tyres touching the guard lol. I will be raising it a tad before the next event. The front is running -3 degrees and was scrubbing terribly lol...

Yeah must just be the height as mine is about the same rear setting...

I dont have the camber arms in the front of mine yet so i am only at -2.25 degrees or something... Mine only hit the left guard hence why both left tyres are now cactus :(

Mine just scrubs at the front because it's too low lol. I am going to raise the car about a cm at the rear and 1.5cm at the front and get it all realigned and see how that goes. I've got my camber maxxed out pretty much up front. I want to bring the rear camber back to about -1 degree neat if I can.

If you wind the suspension up it might end up reducing the camber to where you want it anyway?
