hey guys what a awesome day well done to everyone to all you guys I know i had a ball and said at the begining of the day id be stoked to get anywhere in the 13's but to get to a 13.444 now im just hanging out for that 12 second pass LOL (The bug has got me).

Just one question who is Matt???????

Scott..

good work guys, i am keen to get out to WSID now... but an injector started leaking today so I thats the 4th problem in a week, cant wait to get out there.

Chris, flat 12 is so awesome!

Adrian, consistency!

B-man, you got an 11 coming your way, she will come.

R33vit, a 12 is nice what power do you have?

It's good to see all these nice RB's hitting the streets after everyone has put the hard yard's in, it seems the last few weeks they have really been coming together!

Once Brett and Merli get out there SAU is definately going to be a huge force....

BTW, anyone got a spare skyline badge for me? :)

Evan

BF GOODRICH Drag Combat brought to you by BF GOODRICH where BF GOODRICH gave away $1000 of BF GOODRICH tyres and Gary Meyers killed a couple of sets of BF GOODRICH tyres given to him by his sponsor BF GOODRICH was pretty crappy in my opinion. Great times, great cars, but boy did [cabin]'s organisation stink again. Massive breaks, the commentators had no idea what was going on, and so on. It was very dissapointing especially compared with other great events that have been on at WSID so far. [cabin] needs to sit down and have a good think before the next event.

Reading this thread makes me miss Sydney... well done on the times guys!

When does Drag Combat come to Vic, some healthy NSW v Vic competition would be fun, and i can put a few ppl up for the weekend... in Brunswick East.

Was the management of the event better then the first round, more cars then before????

I kept falling asleep because of the breaks, the chaos over the eliminations ladder, the timing gear breaking down, and the delays which put the programme ~2 hours behind schedule kinda made it crappy.

But a strong SAU contingent made the day great. Great meeting new people from the forums, and then (cause we are all in the same class) racing against them was tops - the people made the event. Brett's some sort of SAU Drag mascot - was there to lend a big hand, storage and tools facility all in one.

Breaking my drag racing hymen was kinda funny too, I was expecting to be all nervous with the crowd + having no idea but it was actually very relaxing. I only got aggitated from not being able to do a burnout (the advice of "touch the breaks" left me stalling the car, have decent pads in the back for track work) and launching pretty damn sad. Heh the aggression paid off, with me flatchanging off the revlimiter + eventually damaging the shifter. Highly recommend doing it again, i think an SAU streetmeet would crap all over the DC event.

Brett's some sort of SAU Drag mascot

We call him "Bobbo". He ended up with my tools, I have Stacey's pressure guage, Scott has my torch and someone ate my Mars Bar.... wait.....that was me.... :)

And he's MY pit bitch so back off or i'll scratch ya eyes out! :)

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
