Howdy, Im shortly gona be converting my car to manual. I was wondering what this is and if i need it once manual, as it sits right where my manual consel drink holder is

not sure if removing it might cause problems. It may cause dramas with your ABS and ATESSA system (error code 13). I'd try relocating it if anything...

it is essential for teh 4wd system, generally it has to be relocated in manual conversions.

keep it near the centre of the car, and flat, level and square with the car. depending which console you will use there tends to be space at the rear of the console

What Duncan said. There are plenty of photos in the DIY Manual Conversion thread, so you can see for yourself what Duncan means when he's advising where to place it if you need to move it.

Also be careful with handling it, dropping or hitting it will f@$k it up , check the glass indicator on the side is not red if it is start hunting for a new one or run an aftermarket 4wd Ecu .
