Ok any stereo gurus out there got any ideas..i have 3 stereos (pioneer, kenwood, sony) all about 5-10 years old...all were working when pulled out of other cars...

I have wired them in...nothing

wired direct to battery red/yellow > positive , black>negative ...nothing..

so I put connectors on them and wired them that way into 2 seperate cars batteries and nothing will make them light up..

i got the sony to make a little whirring noise occasionally if it gets a good connection but no lights come on..

is it possible all 3 stereos have just died sitting around boxed in my garage for the last few years..?

its driving me crazy that none of these things will fire up... :(

Highly doubt it. Try connecting the antenna, should be a RCA looking thing, though not RCA.

I had soldered my own harness for my 34, plugged it in and was devastated, plugged the antenna in and it lit up!
