When Carbs Turn Bad

The C210 wasnt running the best so i decided to pull the carb down for a rebuild, good thing i did. Its full of crap and the float had a hole in it,

Clean the carb, rebuild with carb gasket kit, drain the tank, rinse the tank with fresh fuel, drain the tank, reassemble... you'll be sweet, and the carby kits aren't too expensive on ebay.

the local privately owned parts store could get it the quickest and cheapest, the float was also rooted and that required abit more digging around but i had to get it from bursons, $56!

i couldnt get carb rebuild kit back in 2011, hence why i got a new one

I'd get it thing hydro blasted, cheap as and it will look brand new.

I soaked them overnight in some cleaner that i use on my bike carbs, works a treat.

All was going well with reassembly until i tried to assemble the needle and the plunger doesnt fit inside the needle. So i'm abit annoyed with that and wont be able to fire the car up until they can get me a new one, although i could always use the old one,
