As to your preference for a "wider range", did you stop to consider that the smaller the range on a gauge, the more accurate (actually precise) the reading?

This, especially on electrical gauges. You want a gauge that is in the range as close to possible of your operating medium, be it pressure, temperature, position etc.

RB20 with a factory oil pump, you would fit a 100PSI oil pressure gauge. It's never going to go above that.

if you plan on going aftermarket oil pump then you will need a 10 bar gauge..my Jun pump gets a touch over 8 bar from memory at cold idle

idealy you will want the aftermarket sensor.. my defi is accurate as hell!
