Hey guys just had an idea and nothing really came up when I searched... so I just put a fmic on my r33 and the reo requires some cutting to fit back on, instead of doing that would it be possible to bend the bottom of it upwards so the cooler sits under it nicely, and would this be legal as the reo is not cut? Cheers.

I'm sure, within the letter of the law, it would not be legal. If, for example, you have a dent in a chassis rail under the car - that's defectable. That's because a load bearing/crumple zone part of the car is not as it was intended to be by the manufacturer. Bumper reo falls into the same category.

Never mind that people fit stupid great big roo bars etc to 4WDs and all that other jazz. You drive a Skyline, you're already at enough risk of unneeded police attention.

On the other hand, depending on how much you needed to bend it, if you could do it cleanly and discretely you'd probably never get spotted for doing it.
