billywhiz
Mine have 1 piece rotors, track pads, when driving gently on the street, I can get squeals etc, try the odd harder braking, mates the surfaces? works for me in this scenario. GTRsean
Make sure all the shims are there as they seem to go walkabout Rotor surface may be glazed, you could get them very lightly skimmed or similar. Pad type seems to affect the amount of sqealage too, ie high metal, high temp type pads are bad for it. 33 v-spec
Thanks guys I checked the pads and shims on the weekend they were glazed though all shims where there so just roughed them up on the concrete a bit did nothing and still plenty of meat on the pad might have to try different pads. Any ideas heard ebc are good but don't know much about pads Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422236-squeaking-brembos/#findComment-6803558 Share on other sites
niZmO_Man
Don't bother with EBC Green. I threw them out and put QFM HPX on my car, much better. If you car is street only, contact GSL Rallysport for some pads, either HPX or Resma pads. Roy
Nobody uses RB74s from Race Brakes anymore. For spirited driving they are not bad things and are cheap. Dusty but they are quiet. If you get over half way through the pad and decide to drive like a lunatic on them they can deteriorate but takes track work really to get them that hot Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/422236-squeaking-brembos/#findComment-6803637 Share on other sites
pf.
Have you tried using emery paper on the rotors yet? You will need something to spin them on though you could improvise using the back axle. Also do you know how many shims it had from factory I can't remember off the top of my head if they run one or two per pad. Edited April 3, 2013 by pf.
