hey guys i just recently bought an r33 gtr v-spec and at light braking pressure at speeds around 40kph and under i have an extremly loud squeak from the front brakes

i have been told that brembo's are known for squeaking like this but would like to try and fix it

the calipers are factory and it has 2 peice front discs unsure of brand i think theyre aftermarket and unsure of the pads

i have been told to just try blowing the area with a blow gun or greasing the shims just want to confirm

any help would be great thanks guys :action-smiley-069:

Make sure all the shims are there as they seem to go walkabout :)

Rotor surface may be glazed, you could get them very lightly skimmed or similar.

Pad type seems to affect the amount of sqealage too, ie high metal, high temp type pads are bad for it.

Thanks guys I checked the pads and shims on the weekend they were glazed though all shims where there so just roughed them up on the concrete a bit did nothing and still plenty of meat on the pad might have to try different pads.

Any ideas heard ebc are good but don't know much about pads

Nobody uses RB74s from Race Brakes anymore. For spirited driving they are not bad things and are cheap. Dusty but they are quiet. If you get over half way through the pad and decide to drive like a lunatic on them they can deteriorate but takes track work really to get them that hot

Have you tried using emery paper on the rotors yet? You will need something to spin them on though you could improvise using the back axle.

Also do you know how many shims it had from factory I can't remember off the top of my head if they run one or two per pad.
