Hey guys haven't heard much talk about race wars here, wondering if anyone is going? I was booked to go but had a last minute wedding to shoot so I've been unable to go now

It is something like 1 mile drag or top speed trials on a runway, so it might be a little boring to some. Hopefully someone crashes to spice things up

What: 400m, 800m and 1,000m drag racing / top speed runs. Side-by-side roll-on drag racing from 60km/h for 200m / 400m distances.

When: April 6-7, 2013

Where: Wyalkatchem Airstrip

Well that was more a joke ya know like break a leg? But hey your replies were certainly just as mature.

Anyway some mates have 2 cars going with room to spare now if someone wants to go cheap.

I am going. I have always wanted to do a top speed run on a runway. Why should Jeremy Clarkson have all the fun! I was frustrated that there were similar events over East but we had nothing here. I even did my own research on likely airstrips in WA. Wyalkatcham has a fairly new runway of 1600m, so it is won't be long enough to top out and still stop safely, but it will be enough to get scary!

So I am grateful to the guys at Antilag for organising this thing - and they seem to have done a very thorough job.

There is also going to be a display of cars in Forrest Chase on Tuesday 2 April 2013, which mine should be in. I have just been informed that there will be an Aventador adn a GT40 there too. So this is much bigger than a few "rice buckets' as our Falcadore friends love to call us!

I hope to have an onboard camera system installed too (HKS DMR), so should be able to post some vid of me yelling as I pass 250 km/hr!

A little annoyed that I didn't get a passenger seat in your bus, went very hard by all reports.

Epic weekend was epic none the less, I even one myself an award!

Only did one standing start timed run - 247.7 km/h and there was definitely room for improvement, I was (and still am) stoked though.

Did you end up bettering your 253 run?
