evrybody out there that has lost all there point know that feeling in the gut when you know your out for a month or more cause of some excessive speeding.

got the fine in the mail today. *** no dramas take it on the chin.

(this one is for felafel, cause i know this is going to shit ya)

though i was out for a month cause i only had a few points left and the fine make 0.... right wrong

did some ringging around casue my car is registered and insured under my company...... you only have to pay the fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to work for a private company in Victoria, where the guy that owned the company had a lot of company cars, Porsches, a Ferrari Boxer, stuff like that. He got booked by a speed camera doing around three times the speed limit in the Ferrari. When he got the fine through the mail he told them it was a company car, and that he could not say for sure who was actually driving it at the time (it was him obviously). They said no worries mate, just pay the fine, and hand in the plates for twelve months. He did not care, lost no points, and had other transport. This might not work for everyone though.

In both NSW and QLD, if we get booked in a company car, the ticket will get sent to the company. The company can then nominate a driver, or pay 5 x the fee and no one receives points.

Yes, it is a blanket 5 x on any ticket, so 40+ over is about $3000

maybe that 5 times is for larger companys

but anyway i got away with it so thats al that conts

well when people are done speeding in company cars at my work they seem to weed them out. as you have to sign a log book saying when/where youre going so its almost impossible to get away with fines as they can track who was driving the car at the time
