V36 Coupe Engine Stops After Startup

Hello guys, I'm new to SAU and I'm very delighted to see Australia has so many skyline enthusiasts!

I recently bought a 08 V36 coupe, everything was awesome until this morning the engine stopped: rev dropped to zero right after I started it. I tried a few more times, and the problem still existed. So I decided to give it a little push on the throttle, then the rev stayed steady at 600-800 rpm.

Has any other skyline owners, particularly V35/36 owners, experienced similar problems?

(In addition: I drove a bit hard this morning before the breakdown)

I've not come across this, you could try searching www.g35driver.com or www.myg37.com and see if any G35/G37 drivers have had that problem.

Check if any leaks in your intake pipes and also try cleaning the MAF sensor.

Try resetting your idle air speed outlined in the steps above. I have had a similar problem where the car would stall on warm starts and I would have to hold the throttle to keep it on for a few seconds, then it would be fine.

check ecu codes, maybe cam angle sensors check for p0340, p0350

Buy a OBD2 then for $35 and look up the codes on your phone !

i get this happening to me once in a while

just give it some gas during startup and it works fine. the car has never stopped on me while i have had it running.
