Loose Cable Under Turbo Heat Shield?

So today out of boredom I removed the turbo heat shield from my 34 GTT and I found this cable dangling loosely under there.

Does anyone know where it's supposed to go? I'm guessing it's a grounding wire so is it supposed to plug into an opposite end located somewhere along the chassis of the car?

Looks just like my 33 so I'll say, yes it's an Earth / Ground and there should be a place to connect it on the strut tower, down in that space, right at the bottom of your pic.

I managed to find an earth bracket to connect it to but it was pretty deformed. Bent it back with a pair of pliers
