Nice mate. Wow how cheap is it to run your car at that track! Wonder why SAU havent organised something there. Great build mate will be interesting to see how long it takes to um streatch the reliability after your history with the RB's lol. Will definately have to take my 32 down to that track for shakedown once shes finished.

yea its a small track and a bit of fun, its 100 bux for they day.

i rent the joint out once a year for my birthday for some fun

8th june if your intretsed cost will be $150

That car is far too clean and shiny to be a fatz mobile.

PS welcome to the highly exclusive white series 3 owners club.

belive it or not i have washed it... i have changed

will be getting a polish this week as it has some spots on the paint fron parking under a tree that didnt wash off afer a quick scrub

^^^ :D

in other news the car now has a decent alarm and we have booked it in for a wakefield track day on anzac day!

Have a look under the rear parcel shelf, where the Hicas ECU etc is.

Tomei rack is an electric unit with a couple of brass spacers that go between the tie rods and the rack. I installed it for Grant.

Cool cool. Yah mate put me down for the June birthday bash. Do you know a place that has cheap car trailer rentals? Kenards do $150 for 24 hours but $350 deposit :( This means i must now definately have the 32 done lol.

Cash cash guess ill have to come up and pick the rear screen up and pay you an extra $150 ;)

Yah if i could afford to buy my own trailer i would, but just cant do it yet lol. I got a mate with one think i might steel it

for that day :)

Changed the plugs on this thing today

Fake nismo catch tank added for short term love

Can't find my mines baffles in my shed either

Also ordered a surge tank, same as pigsarses one

And I think ill get it tuned on e85 as its a track bitch

The spots on the shit heap won't come off with a quick polish which shits me... Will have to cut and polish.

Trying to swap the twin exhaust. If no luck by Thursday it will be getting cats added for rego

f**k me

    • I mean yes, if you're starting from scratch on an unknown engine yes you don't need to be doing all kinds of math in the background but if you're doing relatively minor changes like AFM + injectors + boost up with some aftermarket turbos it takes quite a bit of math if you want to do something like maintain OEM fuel + timing tables but compressed and then a bit more load scale up top. I think I've spent too much time working on big engineering nightmares though so I'm a big fan of trying to constrain the scope of whatever work I'm doing as much as possible and trying to get it right before moving on. For example, a local owner just did the usual E85 + single turbo conversion to his R32 GTR and nearly burned his car to the ground doing some spirited driving up the local mountains. Turbine is unshielded and too close to the hood insulation. It's tough to balance "just get the project done" and "seemingly small details can cause massive setbacks I'm not willing to deal with".
    • No idea about Neil's steering wheel, but I have the same behaviour in the Stagea. I doubt it has ever been messed with so might be normal. Indicating to turn right at a roundabout and correcting even a little bit to the left to go around will cancel the indicator. Never considered it an issue other than it being a bit odd.
    • Does anyone know if this is off centered? Looks like it, when I indicate to go right, but turn my steering wheel slightly left it cancels (was always like that even before I started messing around with it) was wondering if anyone else has the same issue?
    • Nothing photo worthy since last update, lots of little plumbing bits for the AAC/Cold start valves, and unfortunately I still need another couple of parts for the brake booster line and the AAC into the plenum. Otherwise it all looks good to start up engine wise, onto checking the electrics/interior
    • Good news mate, plenty of spares available 5:40
