hey everyone im about to buy a new car and i've decided i would love a skyline. Sadly im only on my p's so i wont be able to have a turbo which i will have to live with but i would like to know a few things about the non-turbo version if anyone can give me a hand, im after general fuel costs, any issues with this model car and any other facts that might help me out it would be much apreciated. Im looking to spend some time modifying the aesthetics and anything i can that wont change the performance and cause defects, just for the record im not a hoon nor do i intend on thrashing it i am just a starting enthusiest and just want to crusie in a nice car.

My R34 GT is getting about 400km on a tank, costing $70 a tank. Im guessing an R33 will be the same, seeing as most the parts they use are the same and compatible with eachother.
R33's dont look that great stock in my opinion, just the roundness on em, but there are decent body kits out there that make em look awesome im not gonna lie.

Wings with R33's suck (from the choices ive seen) unless you get a track wing, but thats why i prefer the R34's look meaner.

Mods you can do without defects:

3" cannon exhaust i believe is the biggest you can go its just under 94db which is legal.
Pod filter, as long as it is secured down, i wouldnt put one in because its just gonna suck warm air in, but if you do, mount it in the actual airbox so you get cool airflow from the front.

You can do other things obviously but they are the most popular, also 18" rims are best to start at, cheap tyres that size.

I havent messed with suspension, can be expensive, if your just gonna get lowered springs then that will be worth it seeing as its just for aesthetics.

    • Ahhh, that, yeah, but it all worked out well in the end As for the ITB noises, I don't really wind it out with her in the car, and the dort only really starts dorting hard when your WOT or up it hard
    • It wasn't about the dollars. I mean how she didn't like the loud exhaust and you had to change it again 馃槢
    • I'll tell her I put in a new air filter on it, which, it would have anyway with the ITB's In the end she isn't to fussed, she spends lots of money on hair, nails, make-up and all the other "required" beauty products that women use, plus I grease the wheels with shiny gifts and holidays wherever and whenever I can She once questioned my car spending "budget", but after itemising everything she spends on herself, and what I spend on her, and the fact that I don't care if she does or doesn't wear make-up and fancy pants perfume, or requires new outfits for every wedding, funeral or anything else she deems worthy, and I'm quite happy to go "real" camping, instead of staying in hotels or jaunts on cruise ships, she decided not to press the subject on how I spend funds, and has never asked "how much did that cost" again, so a win to me And how often can you say you really get a win with the fairer sex? She is a good woman, and in the big picture, I'm really lucky.....that she hasn't killed me yet
    • What will you do when the Minister of War and Finance says the intake noises are too loud?
    • Will the clear coat dissolve the ink tho?? I thought about clear vinyl tape too. Thinking what to do haha. The one I have now is cracked in 1 spot, otherwise mint. Plus the MINES one is much thicker plastic material so its not flimsy at all.
