yep your right scotty if its a bushed turbo , still don't think that it is stem seals though as it would be doing it all the time and surely the 35`s are strong enough to take a spike , our 25 spiked to 35+ before we installed the 50mm wastegate , anyway a wet and dry comp test should show up any piston problems .

and keep in mind that I dont see or smell any smoke until the car is up to operating temp. If the engine is cold and I reapply throttle after a long deceleration (e.g. 5-10sec) there is nothing. Same cant be said for when the engine is all warmed up.
