20S On M35

Recommended Posts

Im sure 18 x 9.5 with some decent offset, camber coilovers and fender love would suit nicely.

20" tyres are not in the world of performance.

19's are too pricey to be chewing through on the track all the time. Thus 18's appear to be the more optimal cost effective choice.

Ohhhh I get it.

Your in the wrong section Christian. All the flatcappers and hard Parker's are in the v35 section or on the Silvia forums!

Are you planning to track your car? If so sort out the chassis and suspension before buying wheels. You might just find that you'll be joining the rest of us homo's in wheels width.

If I was to stay on my standard 18's I'd be heading to the track with 235/55/18's. I'm pretty sure the 245/45/19's that I run on are a better decision....and they were only $195 each....good brand too! I might also add that I already scrub the outside tyre and I have a +38 offset. So 10" ain't going to work.

Since most of us on 18's run 245/45's, how far out is your speedo with same width & profile on the 19's?

Look at me starting the flame war. My Stagea is purely street grocery getter, I have other cars to take to the track. The car is already on its ring on Teins. Will be doing sway bars and decent brakes eventually. As for the performance/visual aspect I would err on the side of visuals for the M35, I'm not Hella Sik generally though.

I test fitted the 19x10 +38s with 255/35s off the back of my IS-F yesterday. The rears are perfect with no fouling, the fronts are a bit Hella for my liking though, and they rub the suspension upright. Nothing a slip on spacer wouldn't cure but they are already marginal.

255/35's on 10's......will ride awesome on bumpy roads.

........ :(

I think it's time to sell the Black Cow!

Three flatcapper's in the last couple of day's can only mean one thing! They have found us!

Times were good while they lasted.

Hang on Jetwreck - you're lumping me in with the flatcappers? Thats a bit harsh.

As for the 255 on the 10, they aren't bad on the goat tracks they call roads here.

Function over form etc etc.. Hellaflush..there will always be a debate. I'm saying kids these days and I'm only 22 :-P

They can stick to the maccas car park. 19's for me and 245/45 faulkens.. Perfect for track and road..gotta fill those arx guards some how

Craig, 255's on 10's is okay (265 would be better IMO), but remember that Nismo put 245's on their 9.5" rims...

Also, 35's wouldn't be that bad. Mine came with 35 sidewalls and are... adequate. That said, can't wait to put 40's on (have 19x9's currently)

It could be argued that even 19s are form over function, unless you need them to go over your 380mm Alcons. To each their own.

I'd agree.....but if your trying to get down to a decent sports profile and your starting rolling diameter was 55/18's what do you do? 35/20's?
