samdasurfinman
Hey guys, I have come to a deliberation with my pride and joy. It only has basic bolt on mods & wheels. (pic below). My question to you is... do you think I would get more for the car overall if I sold off the mods, and then sold the car stock? Or just sell it as it stands. More attractive to buyers with or without mods do you think? T.D
I was in the same boat as you not long ago (get it? Cos the R33 is considered a boat? Get it? Get it?) and in the end, I sold it complete. You would probably get more $$$ out of it if you were to part it out (and being basic bolt-ons, could be easy enough to do in your spare time) and sell it near enough to stock. I didn't have that option as the car would've required ALOT of stock parts and I just didn't have the time to do so. I guess if you've got time (and don't mind delaying the sale), then part it out till it's almost stock. If you're after a quick sale, just sell it as it is Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/423196-to-sell-with-mods-or-stock/#findComment-6809625 Share on other sites
phatlavish
If they're just "basic" like exhaust, FMIC, pod filter, bleed valve etc it's probably best to leave it as-is, but if you have an aftermarket turbo, injectors, ECU, coilovers etc you should probably get more $$ selling it stock Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/423196-to-sell-with-mods-or-stock/#findComment-6809769 Share on other sites
500hp
Nah man sell it stock and ask if they like the extras u can sell them for extra, don't be silly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/423196-to-sell-with-mods-or-stock/#findComment-6813043 Share on other sites
C4a0s
IMO, selling the parts separately can get u more $$$ but it'll cost u time and $$ to find the stock parts and to find buyers. iseekool
Not trying to sound smug. It's an R33 sedan - The interest on them is quite low - they are the most un-desired 4 door skyline IMHO. If you want to move it fast, sell it with everything, but if you are happy to wait and have the stock parts - I'd sell the good bits separate. It all depends on how motivated you are to sell quickly or not.
