Hey guys, long time reader, dont post much as im a noob when it comes to the technical side of cars, in the last year i purchased a 2001 V35 sedan - I get it regularly serviced (has done about 180,000 KMS) by my local mechanic but at the moment there are quite a few issues and he doesn't know anything about them to fix them

If anyone could help that would be great, i am sorry if this is a repost!

1. Air Bag light on my dash is flashing, when i open the tv up it has an error written in Japanese *see below*

2. If i take off from traffic lights sometimes my car lags abit to click over to the next gear and then it suddenly clicks into the next gear and a bunch of black smoke comes from the exhaust,

3. Passenger window switch wont put window down however if i push it from my drivers side, it works fine

If anyone could offer any advice it would be much appreciated also if anyone could recommend a mechanic in the south east suburbs of Melbourne that would be great as i need to find someone who knows about these cars locally to help me

Thanks alot in advance

Jay

I can read the airbag code if you want Jay, or you will have to find a friendly Nissan dealership willing to put you car on their Consult 3 scanner to see what the problem is.

Have you flushed the transmission with new fluid, or changed it at all? The filter in the sump could be blocked. A Transgo kit is a good option to extend the life of your box, and speed up shifting.

Sounds like the window switch needs replacing, what color is it?

Thanks for the reply Scotty,

If you read it, that would be great just so i have some sort of an idea as to what it is

I'll be honest i havnt replaced any fluid in the transmission, my mechanic is a trans specialist so i assumed he would tell me this stuff, he said ages ago may need a service but never really followed up on it since, all he said last service was brakes need to be done.

i thought it might be the switch, its the beige colour.

Thanks again mate
