R34 Snow Control - Drifting?

In the R34 GTS im just wondering in drift practice would turning the snow traction control switch on help seeing as it locks the diff?

Ive been told by mechanics that turning it on, on a dry or wet road will damage the diff

Try it and report back. maybe the mechanics you asked were full of shit.

On the assumption that it doesn't just lock the diff, but also makes the normal traction control stuff operational, surely it would be the exact opposite of what you would want for drifting - given that drifting pretty much requires wheelspin.

I'm guessing you are driving an n/a auto.

Snow mode does nothing but start the car in 2nd gear.

The people you spoke to are full of sh#t or don't know anything about cars.

But what if your in tiptronic? Its not gonna start 2nd then right? seeing as your controlling gear selection.

Whats a decent diff (lower budget) for an R34?
