I'm in Victoria, fell in love with stageas and found a cheap one and was reallly bored of.my commonwhore so I sold it and bought the stag.

I've been knocked back before for the exemption but they said it was because they didn't have any info on the car to see power to weight. And I have put too much time and money to just sell it

How much longer do you have to wait for your full license?

What was the fine for driving a non-approved vehicle? What are the repercussions if you are involved in an accident?

These things could potentially cost you a LOT of money in the right situation.

I've been done for 5 times, Its not too bad in Vic. Go to EPC center in Mcloryd. Put factory dump pipe and exhaust back on and make your engine bay looking standard. They will do a emission and noise test and it will be ok.

I'm on my 3rd year of p's so I have 2 years left. not trying to say I'm a perfect driver or anything but I'm not a dick head on the road so major accident with hooning and speeding will not be my fault.

What did you get done for stao?

Seriously considering swapping the for an n/a Silvia now haha. Really not worth the trouble getting in the bad books with the police

Buy a $1000 shitbox and dereg the stag for two years. When you are on open re register it.

I'm moving house soon (still live at home) and where I'm moving is a 1 car garage and I don't want the only spot taken up by my stag. I'd rather at least sell it to another enthusiast than let it gather dust

I fell inlove with the GTR when i was 8. I didn't go and buy it when i was on my P's. What a stupid thing to do.

Amen. I waited until I was 22 and financially stable to buy it.

At the end of the day; The exemption system is designed to aid those who would face severe HARDSHIP by not driving said car and have absolutely no other options.

Claiming ignorance and buying a car you can't drive and then applying for an exemption based on the fact you've now bought it won't fly.

I'm trying to get an exemption because of the fact I like the car and it's under power to weight, slower than my old commodore as well. good on you guys for holding off and buying mad cars at the appropriate time, it's obviously worth it and saves a lot of trouble.

stagea is now my daily to and from work and my girlfriends ignis is now what goes to car shows and meets with me..

With the exeption of a stagea cruise

I'm on my P's, because I've only had my license for three months or so with an Auto restriction (stupid move, regretting it now). I just bought a 25GT Auto, and have noticed it's a lot thirstier than my 31 was (perhaps it was my non-functional fuel gauge). I still have a while to go on my P's but will drive the 25GT for the remainder of this time and buy a turbo manual vehicle. Maybe not even a skyline, I don't know yet and am not overly concerned about such trivial future things.

fault is a funny thing when it comes down to driving a car that your not allowed to be driving. if your going against the conditions of a licence and end up in an accident then you can be held at fault for it even when you didnt cause it, as your shouldnt of been in that situation.

I guess there's no way around that one, even if I don't cause it or the car doesn't me driving the car will still be to blame in one way or another.

Time to keep driving like a granny and just hope for the best
