Rb26Dett Problems Boost And Stalling

Hi all I am new here,

I tried looking for someone who had the same problem on the net but no luck

I have a r32 gtr. I just had it rebuilt all stock and as I am driving home I feels like it it getting a lack of fuel... sometimes it would fix its self with a small rev but sometimes it wouldnt and I have to turn the car on then off.

I have had the person who rebuilt it have quick look and he thinks its the fuel pump relay.

As I was driving home I put my foot down to overtake a car and when I pulled back to normal speed I lost all boost, I have vacuum but no boost...

Now the car keeps dieing ( stalling ) after a small drive.

There seems to be a tapping noice very soft and not that often..

I have the eboost street 40 as a boost gauge At the moment which seems to show 14psi on stock but now nothing.

Sorry the lack of fuel I ment it would want to die, and some points not rev above 2500rpm.

"While driving home it was raining. at about 3000rpm the engine shuddered voilently kinda like a car would if you were trying to drive in 5th gear at 20km's an hour for about 7-8 seconds. it was only after that did i notice i had no boost also. vaccum is sitting at its normal reading. however the boost gauge goes to the 0 when it should have boost. this is reading of the GTR's boost gauge and...not the eboost gauge. my mechanic said it may have been the high/low fuel pump cutover but at this point when it did it, it wasnt at a point it would need the high fuel setting on the fuel pump relay"

Take it back and pick it up when it is running properly

Check your intercooler pipes my bet is one has blown off or leaking, who rebuilt it and what state are u in?

You have a boost leak or a faulty afm

I hope that 14psi wasn't on the stock turbo's...

Why not, I run 15psi for daily and 19psi to drag race and have done for over 10 years on stock turbos

How long since the rebuild, what exhaust have you got

The rebuild was 2 days ago and stock exaust. The 14psi was a spike. I never reved it out or that its still running in.

Now it sounds like the bottom end bearing again. If so my question is

I bought the parts. Does he still have to have a warrenty on his work ?

Loss of boost sounds like an intercooler pipe, I had a cracked hose and it had the same issue, With AFMs it will stall if there is a pipe that has popd off.

The turbine is in the middle of the exaust.

Stock turbos, overboosted or debris smashed into the exhaust turbines? Not revving over 2,500rpm sounds like AFMs.
