One used Apexi Power Intake pod filter in good condition. This was removed from my R33 GTS-T, but will fit just about any vehicle using the right adaptor. It comes with a 3"/76mm adaptor and bolts, which will suit a lot of turbo Jap cars. Awesome induction sound; it made my turbo very audible and the factory BOV sound like an ATMO. The filter is red in colour (hard to see in photo) and is cleanable/washable. I used to just give it a once over with compressed air whenever I did an oil change and it would come up like new.

I swapped this out for an airbox because I installed a front mount intercooler. Living in a notoriously defectable area of Melbourne, I am a law abiding citizen who wholeheartedly respects the EPAs completely logical decision to allow only one intake modification. The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research recently named pod filters in Melbourne-based Japanese vehicles the #2 cause of carbon emissions pollution, second only to politician's mouths and the paperwork of bureaucratic government organisations.

In selling this pod filter, I have had to consider the ramifications and my moral obligation to society, not unlike the ethical dilemmas that one might face when they become embroiled in drug dealing - I'm not proud of it, but hey, I gotsta get paid.

I might add that it's great to see our tax dollars at work, funding police to enforce these well-thought EPA laws and take young kids with a hobby off the road; making our streets safer for the violent gangs and drunk drivers who have been victimised for far too long. Even better that these criminals have to pay for their own vehicles to be tested - guilty until proven innocent, I say! Perhaps we should adopt this attitude for murder suspects too, who currently enjoy more rights (but rightly so!) within our Australian legal system.

With the hard work of health food ingesting police and their safe driving manouvres during the random vehicle inspection process, these Japcar driving juvenile delinquents will just have to find something much less harmful to spend their hard earned money on, like heroin. With their clean and mechanically sound pride and joys off the road, Average Joe's leaky rust bucket need no longer fear the dangers of sharing roads with well kept and insured vehicles.

You probably shouldn't buy this filter if you have young children and an aftermarket intercooler. The combination can be lethal, not unlike the simultaneous consumption of alcohol and drugs. Fact is, pod filters in conjunction with aftermarket (but not standard) intercoolers are the number one cause of death to children under 5, closely followed by SIDS and too many handbrake clicks. Government legislation has been proposed for the packaging of pod filters, making it mandatory that every filter come with a health warning and grotesque pictures of modified Hyundai Excels on the box, making consumers all too aware of the health risks. If you are comfortable burdening your conscience with the above, then proceed with purchase and may God have mercy on your soul.
