where is the best place to tap in a oil pressure gauge into.

- the factory location with a tee?

- sandwich plate on the filter

I'm thinking the factory location, but don't like having it tee'd in there. so maybe a tee then run an extension line for the sender mounted some where else.

6 of one, half dozen of the other.

Sandwich plate offers less chance of breakage and air gaps, but adds more gasket/o-rings. Choose your poison. Whatever you do, don't remote mount a sender unless you can make sure the line is filled/primed....which is not easy with small bore stuff.
