The first thing i would do is remove the blow off valve and relocate it to the bin! Then i would jump on the search function and find the modifying guide which will give you every bit of info you desire

He speaks the truth. I bought one stock. And i've spent more than enough to buy a GTR easily now.... and it's only just begun!

I bought a modified one and could probably buy 2 GTR's with what i have spent :P

Thanks, Mark.

firstly the R33 is the best bang for buck Nissan on the market today...so congratulations and welcome to the cool club

now...buy a 3 inch bellmouth dump pipe form jjr...200$ great budget mod....get turbotech boost tap for 45$ turn boost to 10-11psi....get copper plugs gapped to 0.8...change all filters and fluids if not done already....this should net you around 180kw on a healthy car and keep you amused for a good while you sort out brake and suspension mods and the reliability of the car in general, at some point install a decent intercooler.... after a year or so you should know that the car is reliable and if its worth spending money on, have all its little issues sorted and have a good feel for how to drive it, save about 5k to start with....then you aim to build a 300kw car ( aim for 280-320 its about as far as you can go and maintain some traction, reliabitiy and stay budget friendly) , it will cost over 5k no doubt...but how far over will depend on how handy you are with the spanners ;)

My build with mostly new parts from stock has been less than 10k including clutch, tuning, and alot of custom fabrication...it has enough grunt to keep up with the best of em...i imagine you haven't paid anymore than 10k for an r33 so for under 20k you can have a car that will beat or at least keep up with just about anyone out there.....you will not buy a good GTR of any description for under 20k, that doesn't need more money spent on it and if built right the humble GTST can easily keep up with alot of GTRs out there, you may even beat a few....So don't listen to these haters..as long as you havent bought a lemon..you're on a winner GL

I recommend to use the search button. But because I'm feeling nice I'll give you a basic quick rundown.

1. A good free flowing K&N panel filter.

2. Bin bov and use a stock gtr bov.

3. Buy a plazmaman intercooler kit.

4. Buy a 3" turbo back exhaust

5. Greddy profec b spec2 boost controller.

6. Hypergear hiflow turbo or equivalent.

7. Adaptronic ecu/ injectors/ tune.

Thats a quick basic rundown mate. Just that there is probably close to 5-7k mate so be prepared. You'll also want to do suspension brakes gauges wheels and the list goes on. I've got a HKS 2535 for sale which would be a ideal turbo upgrade as the standard turbo is rubbish.

5.

I also recently bought a nearly stock ECR33. Nearly, as it came with a 3" exhaust, pod filter, neon lights and amp.

To give you an idea, here is what I have done:

- Removed neon lights and amp

- Brake rotors and pads

- R33 GTR wheels with Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1s

- Refreshed stock suspension

- Replaced all worn bushings

- Wheel alignment

Here is what I still have planned over the next 1-2 months:

- Flush all fluids (gearbox, diff, coolant, oil, brake) and replace with good quality stuff

- Spark plugs, clean AFM and tape up coil packs

- FMIC

- Oil cooler and filter relocation

- Fuel pump and filter

- Gauges so I know what's going on in my engine

- Accusump

- Power FC + tune

My focus is on reliability as it'll be tracked throughout the year.

You would need a press or some handy tools to do them!
