Hey guys (and gals), had my car towed to a garage to replace a dead fuel pump. Car starts but heaps of white smoke comes out of the exhaust which was something that did not previously happen and it doesn't stop even after 10 minutes of idle. I'm too scared to drive the car in case I stuff something up. The car has not been driven for a month if that helps (took me that long to afford a new fuel pump!). What could be the problem and how do I fix it?

Thanks

Mine does similiar and has been for the last 2.5yrs.

I think its the valve stem seals in the head.. or the turbo is leaking a little bit of oil when sitting around.

I used to get it every morning and night after the car sat around for 8 or so hours.

At the time I was using Mobil 1. It was too thin. I since changed to Penrite HPR10, no more smoke.

It only appeard to do it when first taking off and hitting a little bit of boost in first and second. It would then go away.

Just drive it providing it idles smooth and doesn't make any unusual sounds.

UNLESS you leaned her out and cracked ring lands.
