Hks Ssq Bov

Hey all

I just put on my bov, i ideals fine but had a stalling problem. I blocked off the large hose off the bottom on the stock bov and the just run the top hose on the hks, just wanting to know what else it could be?

Any help would be great.

Bov needs adjustment

blow off valve needs to vent back into the inlet where the other one was disconnected from otherwise you have to install an antistall featured management system.

Got one on my r32 gtst type m.. Stalls every time coming down from high revs.. So I bought myself a Turbosmart kompact BOV. Yet to install.

Is it possible this is an issue with auto Vs manual ?

I've been running the SSQ atmo for over 4 years and never had any stalling, hesitation or interference caused by it.

it should make no difference if the valve is setup properly.. the spring tension must be set for the particular setup.

google setting up bov tips..

if you need some electronic management to run a bov it would be a flawed design.

IMO they are not a performance upgrade, they just make a girly sound and they are a defect worth defecting.

I put the plumb back adaptor on it to see if it would run, but had a problem with return line silcone hose, it was just out from fitting over the pipe. Any suggestions?

The pipe has a pretty thin wall, and is easily bent. It may have been bent away when you removed the original hose off. Try persuading it closer ?

I tried everything, i hooked it too the pipe and tried to bolt it up, bolted it up then hose, heated hose to make it more plyable nothing.

You know there is no spring adjustment on an ssqv..

They are too small internally to hold many pigeons, but they do plumb back nicely.
