Hey guys i have a bad shutter through the rear or gear box area of my car on take off and when chopping down to lower gears, thinking the clutch was buggered as it was slipping i replaced it with a 3 puk heavy duty and the vibration is still there if anything worse. Has anybody got any suggestions? flywheel? gearbox?

Sounds like clutch shudder, either the clutch wasnt installed correctly or your flywheel is buggered.

Yea i did get told the flywheel was a bit damaged so we got it machined and the mechanic said it should be all good, He also said it could be the rear diff bushes or the engine mounts but it dosent fell like that it def feels int the box?

Drive shaft could be out of ballance. Could be as simple as a missing washer (as it was in my case)

Drive shaft bearing

Or stuffed diff.

Be careful and get it fixed. iv seen gear boxes cracked and snapped with a persistant problem like yours

If it was an organic clutch it could be the flywheel either not machined properly or it has some dirt/oil on it

being a 3puk clutch i would be thinking its normal, the one i had was terrible unless you just dropped the clutch
