Hi all,

As much as I really like the leather on my new V, I'm looking at getting seat covers to protect the leather. I use the car daily and I'd rather have a cover than risk ruining the seats.

To that end, does anyone know if the 350z seats are the same as the V? Ive found some places that can do custom covers for the z, but none for he v. Or does anyone know someone who stocks/can make the covers?

I'm not looking for leather retrim or anything like that.

Cheers

I have been looking for some for the sedan. but haven't had much luck.

There are some leather type covers that pop up on ebay every now and then, but they want about $500 just for the fronts or rears, which is far more than I intend to spend.

When I get around to it, i will have a look around on USA suppliers. G35 covers should be mostly the same..

I think having covers over leather will not stop them from being damaged - you will probably prevent scratches and scuffs but the cover will still slide around, and may possibly stain, if not good quality

Main thing with leather is keeping it clean and treated regularly. Also avoiding bad habits such as sliding your butt (or back) over stitched edges and wearing pants with sharp studs or zippers etc

Is this to keep the leather nice for the next owner? Seems a shame to cover it up...

Just been really curious about the whole seat covers thing since I arrived in AUS 12 years ago... In the UK generally you only have them to "upgrade" a plastic seat or when you have unmentionalble stains you want to cover up..

I think its more a case of having something nice and keeping it nice while its in your possession, not so much thinking about the next owner

Personally I hate ruining anything with careless use and don't like having broken or damaged stuff that I worked hard for. Getting more cash when it comes to sale time is only a bonus
