gday guys, hopefully getting an r33 gts-t soon and will be garaging it for a couple months so I can do a bit of work to it. Im a mechanic so anything i need to do im capable of doing, but need some opinions. my first step when I get it is to remove the engine and do all of its internals first, so thats out of the way, then im gonna put a top mounted turbo on etc. but what I want your opinions on is whats some good internal components available for the 33 gts-t? i see alot of tomei forged pistons and con rods etc, are they a good quality to withstand a fair bit of hp? pretty much I want to make the internals of the engine alot stronger then stock to take more hp, but am not looking at drag racing level, just a good powerful street tune. if you can forward me to website that are good id appreciate it, as I have been on a lot of sites that have too many discontinued products. cheers.

For 250kw I wouldn't bother building the engine. Spend the money else where on suspension, gauges, tires, adj. Arms ect. Same for 300kw. If your going to be running e85 even 350kw can be ok for a fair period of time with a very GOOD TUNE. if you must build a rb25 for piece of mind then.

JE PISTONS.

HI ENERGY SUMP 6.5L.

JIM BERRY SINGLE PLATE CLUTCH.

GASKET MATCH RUNNERS/EXHAUST MANI ECT.

ROSS HARMONIC BALANCER OR GEN. NISSAN.

OPTIONAL BUT NOT NEEDED: 256DEG/8.5MM LIFT TOMEI PONCAMS AND ADJ EX. CAM GEAR.

You won't really need all that for a engine build but be prepared for it to cost fair $$$'s. Like you could just get everything machined up and slap forged pistons and set of H beam eagle rods. With approiate bearings gaskets and slap it back in if doing it on cheap. All depends what power you want and what you wish to do with the car. Street/strip/track or whatever. You need to make up your mind what power level you wish for first. There is a ridiculous amount of difference between 250rwkw and 350rwkw.

Anyway there is so so so much info on here it's not funny. I suggest you study up. Read the dyno thread for rb25s.

Cheers Josh.
