I'm looking at my options at the moment as well.

RB25DET NEO is top feed. RB25DET (R33 GTS-t series 1 and 2) are side feed.

To change to top feed injectors (which come in 11mm and 14mm) you need more than just a fuel rail. You'll need a new fuel regulator (since the factory one bolts up to the end of the factory side-feed rail, which you are ditching). You'll also need adapter plugs on the injectors as aftermarket injectors come with generic plugs not Nissan ones. And some assorted fittings and fuel hose.

If you are still using the factory intake manifold then you need to be very careful about the length of top feed injectors as you can run into clearance issues trying to get the rail under the intake manifold.

ARTZ has done a brilliant writeup here:

The XSpurts and Injector Dynamics injectors are all based around the Bosch EV14, with a few modifications.

The other option is stick with side-feed injectors. Nismo 740cc are designed for our car by the motherland but they are a bit old now. Probably still do a fine job but not the "latest technology". There's also Power Enterprise and Deatschwerks which are new but I haven't heard as much about them.

The answer is still no.Side feed.

Now I'm just confused, I know my injectors are side feed (this was never the question?) I'm asking because I have the choice between 11mm & 14mm. And aren't 100% sure which ones to get.

Which one suits a STD rail s2 r33?

***EDIT: or are you telling me all side feeds = 11mm?

What everyone is telling you is your injectors are side feed. The 11mm or 14mm your asking about is terminology used to describe a top feed injector. A top feed injector won't fit a standard rail, so no matter if you buy either an 11mm injector or 14mm injector it will be a top feed and won't fit, you need side feed injectors. The picture below shows a top feed injector next to a side feed to better illustrate things. So either change your rail or buy side feeds.

Thanks

This thread keeps on delivering!

Gotta learn from somewhere mate!

In another similar thread someone managed to mod an R34 Neo fuel rail to fit on an R33 RB25 inlet manifold with from 3/4 length Bosch EV14 injectors and adapter collars at the lower end . I've just been on the phone to someone I know who has a bare R33 RB25 inlet manifold and I'm going to use that to mock up a Neo rail if I can find one .

Side feeds are a PITA and not something that Nissan kept for very long , note GTRs never used them .

A .
