I've phoned a bunch of wreckers in Sydney and Melbourne without success so hoping someone on SAU can point me in the right direction.

After a rear spoiler for a 2008 GH series 1 Mazda6 5dr hatch (not a wagon). Preferably in Stormy Blue colour code 35J.

The missus loves her car but always wished she got one with a rear spoiler so I'd like to surprise her as it's something she wouldn't buy herself (frivolous car expense).

Cheers

I think this is for a sedan not a hatchback. It is also for a 2009-10 model.

This one is for the sports wagon: Part numbers GS2A-51961 GS2A 51961 GS2A51961

I see you edited your post.

Sedan and wagon won't fit, the sport wagon one might, I'm not sure if that's what they call a hatch?

I need it by the weekend after next so yahoo auctions might be out.

try mazda dealership parts?

It depends entirely on what Dan's missus is used to Luke.

If his missus knew that her partner was a castoff when she met him, she'll be happy with "used".

But if she knew Dan was a virgin, she will definitely prefer "new".

:P

Hey Dan I live for eBay haha. Key to searching for this stuff look up (with the least amount of words in every different combination) on eBay, gumtree and even google.

Eg:

Wrecking Mazda 6

Wreck Mazda 6

Mazda 6 parts

Mazda 6 wing

Mazda 6 spoiler

Mazda 6 bodykit / body kit

Anything you can think of.

At a quick glance there are a few on eBay.

Tho not sure they are quite the same.

Good luck!!

Thanks Winny, I'll try Maz Spare, but that number looks familiar so I may have already tried them.

I've been on ebay for a good 10 years and I work in IT so I'm pretty comfortable with searching but unfortunately not having much luck, there's plenty of GG series spoilers and plenty of after market GH compatible ones but I'd really prefer a second hand factory one so I know it will fit, plus a slim chance of getting it in my paint code (35J - Stormy Blue).

I'll keep hunting!

Buying one from Hytech parts in Newcastle, Kev (who is very polite and efficient) has one that's off a car as everyone else wants to sell me a complete tailgate, not my colour but the price is good enough andt I can get it painted for not too much extra.

Highly recommend the business.

    • See, that button sounds like perfection Duncan! My eyes really don't like light shining at them from a dash when I'm driving. Being part red colourblind, I've found for most cars that I can change colours on, I set everything to red, so my eyes see the elast amount of colour! I miss normal gauges in cars
    • bro, knowing the Japanese in  the 90's, i wouldn't be surprised if they shared components across their model lineup.
    • Maaaan so many "little" things  i rly hope my old RB20 would be "ok" and not too bad. I try to learn what and what not do i need. I look at crossmember at it looks different...even parts numbers are different. Wiring and all that i rly do not know...yeah someone mentioned the speedo thing. On that yoke clip. I rly do not know what can and cant be done "custom" so that is why iam asking to know and not be suprised 🙂  I know what it looks like
    • Oh, there's also the gearbox crossmember which will probably be different between the small box and the big box, and the wiring loom will probably need to be modified, because the plugs for the switches etc, will probably be different. And I think the speedo on the small box R34s is from somwhere stupid, like the diff, possibly, so you'd need to work out what needs to be done about that (assuming it is different). I think the thing you need to realise is that the front end of that yoke is a large hollow tube with splines on the inside that mates with the splines on the box's output shaft. It is a dedicated thing - not available "aftermarket". They were made to suit that box, by the car's OEM.
