Nismo Afm Won't Work On My R33 Gtr =(

Recommended Posts

what ecu are you running? If stock, then that is why. you can't run them with the stock ecu. if you have an aftermarket ecu then you need to change the afm settings in the ecu. I think you need to change it too z32

Definitely not - what was the reason for changing with the stock items?

You only need the Nismo ones with a tunable ECU, if you are going over the 300kw mark where the stock ones can't read any more airflow.

Apexi PowerFC normal version (not djetro). But you would need to get it tuned by someone that knows them.

The Apexi Commander is just the hand controller for the Apexi PowerFC ECU.

The djetro version deletes the air flow meters and uses a thing called a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor instead.

They will work with most other aftermarket ECU's as well.

If you have a PFC, you set it to the type of AFM's you are using - the Nismo's use the Z32 / VG30DETT (300zx) setting as they essentially use the guts of a Z32 AFM, in the body of an RB26 AFM.

Nistune or PowerFC being better / worse, there is no right answer. It really comes down to how well the car is tuned - so you want to go with a reputable tuner, tuning the ECU they are most comfortable with.

Whenever you change injectors or AFM you have to change the settings of your programmable ECU. You then get a touch up tune, because its highly unlikely to be spot on.
