Just a heads up about the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally. This is on the 22nd & 23rd of June, and they will be having a tour class. This class is a non-competitive, non-timed event for everyday cars. The participants drive the same roads as the competitors, including the closed special stages, but are limited to 130kph on the special stages (supposedly - as long as you don't catch the tour leader....). You can enter for a single day - cost last year was $400, but this is for the car & includes 2 people. I drove with my son, and we swapped driver / nav positions every couple of stages. It was a really good day out - more fun and easier on the car than a track day. You do need a L2S Cams licence, and a helmet (only worn on the special stages). Your car will be scrutineered fairly thoroughly, so it needs to be in pretty good nick with everything working. You don't need a cage, or a driving suit etc. The supp regs haven't been released yet, but thyt are close. Further info is available from http://www.ahtr.com.au/

My only association with the event was driving 1 day last year, but if anyone wants more info I'd be happy to assist.
